Philippine Robothon

Philippine Robothon is an Annual thematic competition of First Eduspec Inc. (FEI). First Eduspec Inc. is a company that is devoted to delivering innovative ICT educational programs to schools nationwide, incorporating 21st-century learning fundamentals.

It is a competition held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels and culminate at the VEX Robotics World Championship. It is a tournament gives students the opportunity to apply their newfound STEM skills in a captivating game-based engineering challenge.

Year 2018 theme focuses on how Robotics transforms the Philippine Education into the NEXT LEVEL, helping the students bring out their computational thinking skills to solve different challenges.

There are two (2) event categories: Robothon - Mission based (EV3 and VEX IQ) and Innovative Open Category

  • VEX IQ - Next Level
    “Next Level” is played on a 4’x8’ rectangular field. Two robots compete in the Teamwork Challenge as an alliance in 60-second teamwork matches, working collaboratively to score points.

    Teams also compete in the Programming Skills Challenge in 60 seconds. These matches consist of a Programming Skill Virtual Match and a Programming Skill Physical Match.

    The object of the game is to attain the highest score by scoring and stacking colored Hubs in Building Zones, removing Bonus Hubs from the Hanging Structure, and by Parking or Hanging on the Hanging Bar.
  • EV3 - Next Level
    LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 “Next Level” is played on a 4’x4’ playing field.

    Teams compete in the Programming Skills Challenge in 60 seconds. These matches consist of 2 Programming Skill Qualifying Matches and a Programming Skill Finals Match.

    The Object of the game is to attain the highest score by scoring and stacking Hubs in Building Zones, removing Bonus Hubs from the Hanging Structure, and by Parking or Hanging on the hanging Bar.
  • Innovative Open Category
    The “Innovative Open Category” is an open event project-based competition of First Eduspec Inc.

    This aims to showcase the team’s innovative solution towards the theme by designing, building and programming their robot.

    The theme for this year's IOC is: Robotics for the People: Bringing the Next Level of Innovation in Agriculture
